Meningioma constitute 12 to 16 percent of all intracranial tumors.
Generally, they are slow-growing and expansile, pushing aside surrounding tissues.
Rarely extension of an intracranial meningioma have been reported into the nasal cavity, paranasal sinus.
Authors have experienced a case of fibroblastic ¢¥meningioma involving the nasal cavity, paranasal sinus and sphenoid sinus of 7 year old boy who was admitted to Korea University Medical College Woo Sok Hospital on Feb. 1971.
Tumor masses from nasal cavity and intracranium were biopsied and confirmed as a fibroblastic meningioma by pathologic examination.
Primary site of this tumor is still in doubt whether it originate from the intracranium or extracranium.
In addition to our case, other type of extracranial meningioma are discussed with review of literature.
